1. The study shows correlation, which as we all know is NOT causation. I'm waiting for the controlled studies of human volunteers where people change their activity levels and see what actually happens.
1b. It would be a shame if the active, trim monkeys just had some innate characteristic that makes them both active and less likely to get fat.
2. On the other hand, wouldn't it be HILARIOUS if we've been running around like headless chickens for the past few decades over ENTIRELY the wrong issue? "Calories are all evil!" "Fat is evil!" "Sugar is evil!" "Protein is evil!" (Okay, I made that last one up.) I think it would be really funny if all of that turns out not to matter.
