Delaware Shelter Where Joe Biden Adopted Dog Major Hosting 'Indoguration' for Rescue Canine

Yeah, I know. People Magazine. I'm sorry. Good use of the word "Indoguration" though.

Our Republican incumbent, Mimi Walters, has conceded. It's over!

Here is what i posted on the Book of Face:

Okay, NOW it's official.

This is my district. This is fantastic news. Among many other things, Walters consistently refused to hold town halls that her constituents requested. It got so bad that we sent her sarcastic Valentines. "Roses are red / Violets are blue / You speak for our district / Please speak WITH us too."

https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/16/politics/mimi-walters-katie-porter-democratic-pickup/index.html?fbclid=IwAR3R24Asroin1Zu3nz9IJIyDda15Ms9DwsJoggvwp9olU3ujUEn5Jwf-MzE

This actually garnered "likes" from my mom and my aunt, presumable for the sarcastic Valentine poem. (Edit: As well as the usual slew of positive reactions from my liberal lefty friends.)

The nearby 39th District is still too close to call, but it seems to be leaning Democrat. If it goes that way, then all of Orange County has gone blue. Here, have a pretty Reddit post:

There was a LINE!

ok, there were like 4 people in front of me, 2 of whom were in the wrong line. And one neurotic guy behind me worrying about the line. And no line when I left. It counts. :P

I voted "Yes" on a shocking number of initiatives.

Go go gadget democracy! And go, go the end of political spam for another short while.

Patch notes for the democracy server.

I voted, around 3 PM (I succeeded in avoiding the lines).

My, that's an interesting splotch of blue that's just appeared. (Colorado and New Mexico have both flipped from 2004.)

It'll be interesting to see how the California (and LA County) ballot measures fared.

Copy this sentence into your livejournal if you're in a non-same-sex marriage, and you don't want it "protected" by the bigots who think that gay marriage hurts it somehow.

Normally when the phone rings and it's someone I don't know, my first thought is "How can I get rid of this person?" However, there's an election in 6 days; and I live in California, so....

I've found myself being astonishingly polite and well-wishing to some cold callers recently. (Luckily the "Yes on 8" morons left a message, or that could have gotten ugly.) Tonight's conversation involved the phrases of "Oh right, THAT one. Good god no." So that was easy.

You know what, if ALL of these initiatives were to fail, I would not be distraught.
