Well I say it to my daughter. Hopefully she'll be in a position to help at some point. Like the hairdressers son who answered the phone the other day. He's about three and very literal in his replies.
"Can I talk to your Mummy?"
"No"
"Erm, is Mummy in?"
"No"
"Well, is Daddy in"
"Yes"
"Can I talk to him?
"Yes"
We go there in the end but I was in giggles :)

i do that all the time. but then, it's routine for me to walk the 15 feet from the couch to the kitchen and have completely forgotten what i went in there for. and not remember until a half-hour later when i'm doing something completely different.

i suspect my co-workers think i'm permabaked.

Oh, I do this all the time too. It's just usually there's someone human around... and every now and then the humans will make suggestions, even though those are hardly ever useful.

Expecting this from either of our cats, much less Findo (the spaz), is probably a bit much.
