When, oh when, is George Foreman going to make a grill that COMES APART for cleaning?!

(Yes, I realise he has minions to do his bidding, and that ol' George does not actually produce the grills, probably doesn't even have much say in the design. But I need SOMEONE to blame for this!)

It's actually been a really good day and I've gotten tons done. But I'm too busy complaining about the housework (and maybe eventually actually doing it) to post about *good* stuff... (-:

I think its a safety issue. Just try to find a waffle iron or electric pancake griddle that comes apart for cleaning.

But I have seen waffle irons that come apart for cleaning. That's where I got the idea...

Most of the older ones that I have seen do come apart for cleaning, but it seems to be a rare feature in new ones. Have you seen any in the stores recently that come apart?

They make waffle irons like that. They just don't PLUG IN, they go directly on the stove top like a frying pan. And you don't need an outlet or spare counter space. What a novel idea! But if you want to get something like that in the US instead of Europe, you pay more than you would for something that plugs in, and takes up more space both in and out of use. AND, you can't just soak it in the sink to clean.

We have the tools, we can make it come apart.

Putting it back together again afterwards is a different matter. :)
