Random brain droppings

Yesterday had some amusing bits. When I went to the bank at lunchtime (driving our 1998 red Mustang of course), I fled for the second row of spaces as I didn't want to have to fight to get out... when what to my wondering eyes should appear but three red Mustangs of various vintages, parked all in a row. So I parked a fourth one next to them. (-: (And wished I'd had my camera!)
Last night was also the first time I joined a group with strangers on World of Warcraft. So instead of li'l ol' level-18 warrior me, beating up on level 19 and 20 kobolds and dying a lot, it was me and a level 20 paladin ganging up on them. We were quickly joined by a completely insane level 15 paladin I'd spotted wandering around the place earlier; I still don't know how he managed to get through that, even with help, and only died the once. Crazy. It was so much fun ganging up on the kobolds that we hung around and continued to beat the crap out of them well after we'd all collected enough quest items.
And finally, in sporting news: England kick SA butt at the cricket, and Eddie Jordan has sold out. How about now, is the end nigh *now*?

Introverts on mmorpg. Who'd a thunk.

Date: 2005-01-26 04:17 pm (UTC)I found the harvest watchers to be pretty easy, as they're well spaced out - you can beat up one without aggro'ing the others. Anything involving mines, though... choices seem to be, either be a rogue and go in stealthed; be in a group; or get killed a lot. Sigh.
On the amusing side, I once got invited to a group while I was flying overhead on a griffon, and I once got invited to a group when I was dead.
