Worldcon trip planning

After 2004's Year Of Dashed Travel Plans, stuartc and I are GOING to the Worldcon in Glasgow this year, (insert mild oath of your choice here). Unfortunately, I'll have next to no vacation time built up, so even with a few unpaid days tacked on, we're not going to be able to stay very long before or after.

So! Who's going to be there? And who's going to be in the UK but not at the con, and wants to see us anyway? Comment here or drop me an email... ta!

Arrivial at 8:25 on the 2nd, Departure on the 9th. US Air via Philly.
Reservation for a double (with a single & double bed) at the Jury Inn.

Travel plans *might* change because my boss is going to be in Europe from July 30 to August 13 (at least) and it's an award ticket that can change, if seats are available on other days.

YES- I want to see both of you when you wing your way to Scotland. If I read the dates above correctly, this will be early August? I shall likely be either writing or needing a break from such. Now that I know you will be around, I will plan accordingly. xo E

We won't be attending. It will be the first Worldcon I'll miss since I started attending them in 1992 (MagicCon, Orlando). At least Bill was able to get to his first Worldcon last year when it was in Boston! And we will definitely be at LACon next year, including some extra vacation time so Bill can show me around his old haunts.

I swear, there is some quantum exclusion effect going on here... last year's Worldcon was the first we missed in ages, and I'm still a tad bitter.

Probably before, rather than after, but yes, I think that a caravan weekend - or longer, even - would be an excellent idea!
