The view at sunset

The sky fades from bright blue, through various pinks and purples back around to blue (albeit a much daker shade). The palm trees in the foreground stand out in stunning black silhouette. Gradually, as the sky fades through inky blue to nearly black, the pale haze of yellow ground lighting that is LA springs up to keep the palm trees backlit. It's absolutely gorgeous.
And that, kids, is the view from MY office window. (Sunset even comes at the eminently reasonable hour of 5 PM these days.) So there.

Date: 2005-01-22 07:12 pm (UTC)The convenience has waned in recent years. They have ten teller stations inside, but I have only once seen as many as four open at the same time (usually just two, or occasionally three). The ATM would break down, or would run out of envelopes, or would run out of paper for receipts. They added a second ATM, but that one usually breaks down at the same time.
In addition to all that, the WAMU branch closest to my home closed its ATMs completely.
Oh, what was this about? Views from office windows. Yeah. Some of my cow-orkers on the other side of the floor have to look across an alley at some houses, but it's a fairly nice neighborhood, and they get to see orange trees which are usually bearing some fruit, even now.
