Best official Christmas present: More memory for the PowerBook.
Best unofficial Christmas present: My own copy of World of Warcraft, even if I did have to explore all over Torrance to get it.
Worst timing: What a rotten time to actually have a job...

Ah... be careful what you ask for... or you could get locked in a cupboard.

My answers?
Best official present: The Psi Corps supplement for the B5 RPG
Best unofficial present: A Palm Tungsten T5 (John Lewis in Aberdeen, shortly followed by a D'Oh! at the duty-free Dixons at Stanstead).
Worst timing: ID Twelfth Night being next weekend not last weekend.

Great news that the unofficial job has become official though. Yay!

I haven't had full-time work since March; there is no good time to be unemployed.

That said, some WoW WoWFtVoE: All the kiddies and bored housewives are on it in the afternoon, which provides me with a fine incentive to go do something productive and log in the evening instead. Your mileage may vary, etc.

As far as good times to be unemployed... when your spouse is pulling down as much $$$ as [livejournal.com profile] stuartc is, it's not a BAD time to be unemployed... which is only fair, as it's his job's fault we're here in the first place.

I do seem to have a knack for moving hundreds of miles in the suckiest of economies, though, don't I?

Heck, now you're moving thousands of miles. Where are you going for an encore next?

I just thought that you or Stuart might be interested. Of course, it might be 250 miles from you... but geography never was my strong point. :)

on saturday the 16th there's a star party from Los Angeles VAlley COllege at Vasquez Rocks.

Everyone is welcome to bring telescopes but if you dont want to, the staff is going to have telescopes and binoculars on the place.

For more information e-mail me at eylenep@yahoo.com or call my teacher's office and listen to the details in the answering machine. 818-947-2335

Well, there doesn't seem to be an actual place in California called Vasquez Rocks; however, I see that's an 818 area code, so it's probably not terribly far away. (No further away than the horrible commute we had last summer, that is. So in other words, it'll be about 30 miles away but take 3 hours to get there, assuming nothing's washed out.)
