Duck!

Much shopping later... we have a duck, we have much beer and wine and even more spirits; we have loads of high-maintenance food for the holidays and loads of low-maintenance food for the days after when we're just too lazy to move. The only shopping that may need to happen tomorrow is for (a) more cheese, and (b) a corkscrew. (Hey, at least we remembered about the corkscrew BEFORE everything was closed for the holiday this time.)

That sounds an incredibly well-thought-out and well-organised Christmas. I am quite, quite jealous. But duck? How strange? Or were all the turkeys sacrificed for Thanksgiving? :)

We're still collectively sick of turkey, having finally got through the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers last week. And as it's normally just the two of us (three this year with flyingwolf visiting), a turkey is just too darned big anyhow. So we've had duck for the last several Christmases.
