Stupid purchase combinations

Among the many necessary things purchased yesterday: a SMALL dish drainer and mat, for those "occasional" small things that must be hand washed; followed by a 14-piece set of pots and pans, some of them impressively large, which (a) can't go through the dishwasher, and (b) all have to be washed before use.

Okay, who can spot the incompatible belief systems here?

It's obvious: the person who picked the pots clearly doesn't intend to use the drying rack. I would invest heavily in dish towels.
