I got the main riff from "Play That Funky Music White Boy". At speed. I think I hurt myself. I volunteered to take on the high backing vocals for "Drive My Car". I think someone ELSE is going to hurt me over that. And the last time we train-wrecked on "Tightrope" it was because the drummer was following ME. Whoops.

Date: 2006-09-01 01:06 am (UTC)FWIW, I once led an entire band astray myself, including the director. It was after a long series of rests -- I lost count and came in too soon. So did the rest of the band. After the song was over, and we all asked, "What happened?" one of trombones said something like, "We followed you 'cause you came in with such authority."
I may be wrong, but I'm certain. ;-)
