Good things coming my way?
Dec. 3rd, 2004 02:45 pmWow, freaky! For once a package has arrived at the house, and it's for me! From Amazon... obviously someone has bought me something from my wish list. Which is a little odd, as today is almost *exactly* equidistant between my birthday and Christmas... oh well, I'll just have to open it and see.
(FedEx are getting better trained... this morning their truck stopped on the street near my house, sat there for a minute as though the driver was consulting written notes, and then left again before I had to tell them to go away because Tania STILL doesn't live here any more.)
And I made a bit too much turkey salad for lunch today, which nearly resulted in meta-leftovers. That would have been bad.
update: Wow. It's a Christmas present. Some people are FAR too organised. Under the tree it goes!

Kilroy-Silk attacked with slurry
I can well imagine what "farm slurry" is a euphemism for. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
It's a shame they used a stock photo rather than actually showing him covered with chicken poo. Wonder if ITV's got anything on the story...
In other news, ITV's Louise Goodman has beaten Jenson Button in a charity karting competition. That's gotta be embarrassing.

Only 55%? how embarrassing.

Rarrr! I am mighty!
Dec. 3rd, 2004 05:32 pmToday's toll: Eight boxes of games unpacked and put away and the boxes flattened. Two head hunters and one actual hiring manager talked to. Two interviews scheduled - one phone, one in-person. Another half-pound or so of leftover turkey devoured. Kitchen trash taken out, orange juice made, eggs hard boiled, DMV change of address mailed, exercise taken. Dishes DONE, including two cat food dishes and the scummy tea cup that was starting to scare even me.
I can't decide whether to take on the rest of the world or go take a nap.
