Exciting mail today!

stuartc got a Young Ones DVD that he ordered *way* less than 5 to 7 days ago; and I got a belated birthday card from kateaw, tobyaw, and qidane, which came with strange Irn-Bru candies! Mmm, essence of Irn Bru. (I'm ever so slightly disappointed that the candy isn't caffeinated. Luckily there's coffee handy.)

The label describes the contents as "Intriguing sparkling flavour chewy bar", which is more the sort of thing you'd expect from the Japanese than from the Brits, but truer words were never writ on packaging. Really wonderful, in a scary chemicaly teeth-tingling kind of way.

[It turns out that Ye Olde King's Head in Santa Monica does carry Irn Bru, at least intermittently. But this stuff is *loads* more portable!]
