We're baa-ack...
Jul. 29th, 2004 12:02 pmWhew! We are back in Sunny California, after losing yet another day of our lives to queues, nearly missed connections, and wretched airline food. Oh yes, and sad nerds insisting on chatting about computer games, programming, and wossname who invented the 6502 chip. Urgh. Next time I *refuse* to sit in the middle...
More Things I Shall Miss About Living in the UK:
Castles.
Brown eggs. (You can get them in CA but they are SOOOO expensive!!)
The correct shade of green.
Jaffa Cakes.
Drivers who are courteous and/or sensible quite a lot of the time.
British TV (I've said it before, and I'll say it again: British TV!).
Cross stitch magazines for less than $8 an issue, and a selection thereof without having to hit every bookstore in the county.
History.
By the way, I'm closer to being able to conduct the tea-off, as I've been provided with some British-market Twinings English Breakfast tea bags (thanks
qidane!).
Now to see if I can get anything at all productive done today (having spent my morning re-connecting cables). Maybe lunch at some point... I wonder how hot it is out there...
