A better day than yesterday

+ Pirate costume a big hit
+ Get to say "Yarr" a lot
- The belt that came with the costume was distinctly too small
+ With a kind donation of some spare leather lacing, plus two minutes with the scissors and hole punch, problem solved.
- Still lacking either parrot or eye patch
+ Have a sword to brandish at people who ask about the lack of parrot and/or eye patch
- I'm really going to wish I still had the sword on Monday
+ Sheet music order finally arrived today!
- Five minutes before band practice was supposed to start
+/- That's okay, I was late anyway
+ And at least I was there to sign for it
+ The sight-unseen Van Morrison Anthology (the Hal Leonard one) DOES have bass parts
- That bass part for Moondance is STILL not right
+ Oh well, it's *a* bass part, improvisation is an important life skill
+ Practice went okay; we thoroughly drilled down on a couple of songs and got some good things done
- I am never going to want to hear these songs again in my life
+ Halloween gathering is now on. More later!

Probably in beige though. Bor-ing! (I was cruelly forced to wear an eye patch for a while as a kid. Which succeeded in ruining the vision in my other eye. Good one.)
