'Tis the season!

dianec42Saturday I went to dragon boat practice for the first time this season. (There was practice the previous weekend, but I was under strict orders from the periodontist not to undertake strenuous exercise at the time, so I slept instead.)
Practice was actually a lot MORE fun than I remembered it being. I guess it's so early in the season, we don't want to scare off the newbies just yet. (-: Also I spent the last 1/3 of the session calling instead of paddling, so I'm only about 2/3 as sore as I really should be.
People seemed to have a really good time even when I was yelling at them. A couple of people said I'm a really good caller! I graciously thanked them and explained that I like bossing people around. (-:
Yesterday I was a bit sore. I think I may actually be more sore today, or at least more stiff. I'm aching pretty much all over, which I suppose means I must be doing it right.
