Yesterday we slept until we were done. There was laundry, and a bit of WoW, and then much Zelda.

Today we went to LASFS second-Sunday open gaming and saw lots of people. We played games that we hadn't played before, Attika and London Underground. [livejournal.com profile] stuartc won at Attika. I did not win anything. It was, however, good to get out and see the three-dimensional people for a bit. The drive wasn't even particularly awful, as that drive goes. Getting out more is definitely a good thing.

Am rather cranky about the clocks going forward. I agree that in the height of summer it doesn't make sense (say) having the sun come up at 4 AM and set at 8 PM; but this is just too darned early. It was JUST starting to be light out when I got up in the morning, now it's going to be dark again. Ugh.

Last week at work my group spent some quality time with our Navteq support rep. I think I was the only person in the group who knew what both New Jersey jug handles and Michigan U-turns are. I have come to the conclusion that I drive too much.

Today's trivia: As the crow flies, the LASFS clubhouse is the same distance from home as my office is.

They're letting crows join LASFS now? This has some connection between that whole "Death shall not release you" thing and the comic book/movie, right?

A-caaw-ding to the bylaws, pay the $5 and get the board to say yes and anything can join the LASFS. Wasn't one of Larry and Fuzzy Niven's computers made a member at one point?

I liked it a lot. I got to be pink AND purple; and there is a lot of interesting strategy that I didn't get in time to do well. I lost very badly and cannot wait to play again. (-:

This Is a Previously Scheduled Nag

Have you found another gig yet?

If not, have you made plans to find another gig yet?

(This nag will come roughly every three months, until fulfilled.)

it's not day without the daystar!

so much for my goth love of darkness. I guess, well, I'm not as bothered by having darkness after work as not having light before work.

but, I respond to morning sun more than coffee, which is why I hit the snooze way more than usual this time.

I was SO happy dragon boat practice was called off. (Not that I was planning on going anyway, but this way I didn't have to feel guilty about it!)
