Nov. 10th, 2004 12:34 pmThe phone is working... sort of. I can definitely make outgoing calls; but when I try to call the number they told me was our new number, I get the classic Phone Company Screechy Tone followed by, "The number you have dialed... is not in service." Sigh.
Two things irk me about this: one, we got a wrong number last night, but the cordless phone's batteries weren't charged up, so we couldn't ask them what number they'd dialed; two, when I call my cell phone from the new land line, it just says "Withheld" instead of saying the number.
Time to hassle the nice Comcast people, unless I can think of anyone else to phone who has caller ID... (-:
update: It just occurred to me, at least now Comcast is a free call from the land line, as opposed to OMG per minute on the cell phone. And they have only themselves to blame. Huzzah,
