I hate being not quite sick enough to stay home and sleep all day, but not quite well enough to be productive. (I did get some things accomplished today, but now I'm waiting for other people's stuff and I am so bored that I want to die.)

Have you tried the new Sudafed? It's a somewhat different formula that won't be subject to all the crazy rules. I find it is less effective, but has far fewer side effects.

The new what now? Never heard of it... must get out more...

Technically what I am using now is "Advil cold & sinus", which contains 200 mg of ibuprofen (the obvious Advil ingredient) and 30 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (the generic Sudafed component). It's what we have at the office.

What's the new stuff made of? Will I still have to hassle the incompetent pharmacists at my local Rite Aid to get my hands on it?

I't Sudafed PE (Phenylephrine HCL). It comes in the same little red pills as the old stuff, but the dosage is one pill instead of two. (how did that get by the FDA?)

It shouldn't be subject to the same crazyness that the pseudoephedrine is.
