Today I survived my first attempt at a bass solo. In front of other people. Plural. (Including the ever-intimidating other two bass players, who are both on lead guitar for the moment.)
I played most of the important notes, the rhythm didn't get derailed too badly, and no one got hurt. Most importantly we did manage to stumble into the next verse at the correct spot.
(Yes, V------, you're supposed to stop playing at that point. That's why it's called a "solo". Sigh!!)
Wish I knew what the heck was up with these crazy mood swings though. That should have put me in a much better mood than the one I'm actually in.
