I have some new pet peeves today

Pet Peeve 1: Grammatical errors in code comments (e.g., "Now we will clear both user's data"...).

Pet Peeve 2: When the code uses "char" as shorthand for "character", it annoys me no end when people insist on pronouncing it like the verb "char" (that is, like "chart" without the 't').

The thing about holding basic design meetings five feet from my head when I'm trying to get work done, now that's a bit more than just a peeve...

for those about to strtok(), we salute you

Why is it always 11 at night when I'm trying to re-learn how to use strtok()? It's obvious why I can never remember it from one time to the next... bloody dream-like logic that never sticks.
