I gave the new local Quizno's another chance today. They successfully made my sandwich (in less time than it took me to walk out empty-handed on my last visit), but they clearly don't yet have their shit together. I think I shall continue to make their lives easier by not burdening them with too much business.

In other news, October in LA is weird. It's bad (though normal) enough that it's getting dark when I leave the office at 6:45; but does it still have to be 90 degrees out?! I used the AC most of the way home, and I *hate* using the AC.

Given the choice between Quiznos, Subway, or Togos, I'll take Togos any day.

As for Los Angeles weather: I don't think there is a normal temperature. Wait until you see Santa in Bermuda Shorts! As for the weather, just blame it on the Jewish holidays, which are late this year. Any jew in LA will tell you the hottest days of the year (when you are typically stuck in a non-air-conditioned synagogue) are Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur!

Hmm. I don't know of a Togo's in northern Torrance... good point though, must investigate that option!

I know there is one on Sepulveda just S of El Segundo; I've met [livejournal.com profile] dieppe there for lunch before.

Hmm, there's one in Carson and one in Torrance on Hawthorne. (This is according to Google Maps -- not the most reliable source, but one of the less annoying ones. I tried www.togos.com, but it demands that I load the Flash plugin, which I ------ly refuse to do for my default browser at work. What's the adjectival form of "Luddite", anyway?)

Might give the Carson one a try if I remember. There's a Togo's I've stopped at a couple of times whilst lost, that might have been the one. (If not, I must then try all of the nearby ones until I find the one I've been to before. I'm kind of compulsive like that, usually about very odd things.)

I recommend the #4 and #5 sandwiches (turkey and cranberry, or turkey salami and cheese).
