I had to phone the police about a herd of bullocks loose on the M6 once. I was between junctions 33 and 34 (south and north Lancaster) when I was on my way back up to Scotland from Liverpool. They can't have escaped too much earlier as there was no tailback yet.

Never did hear what happened to them though.

Once when I was about 7, my mom and my brother and I were driving somewhere and a herd of cows had got loose and were wandering in the road. Mom helped herd them with the Mustang. (-:

As recently as 2002, my commute was help up by an escaped cow. Just the one that time though.

(I'm pretty sleepy. I read "herd of bullocks" as "load of...." (you can imagine).)
