What, me overdo it?

So I thought I should start getting some exercise. (With, of course, the usual nagg^H^H^H^H assistance of my darling stuartc.) Tonight I changed into exercise clothes, and he fished the exercise equipment out of the (now startlingly empty) Closet O Doom while I (finally!) put up the curtains in the sun room. Wouldn't do to frighten the neighbors, oh no.

I found my exercise notebook! It has been almost exactly six months since I did a proper workout. Sigh. I enthusiastically jumped straight in and tried to do the same lower-body workout I last did in August. About three quarters of the way through, I was lying on my back between some sets of lying side leg lifts and realised the room had gone all spinny. Ooops. I sorta finished the workout, but now I'm feeling quite... I dunno, I think "overdone" is a good word to use here.

I am SO pathetically out of shape... oh well, gotta start somewhere.

If that's that worse that happened you're lucky. A lot of people who try to jump right in like that end up with injuries that take a lot longer to recover from. Take it a bit slower next time and realize it'll take a little time to get back up to that August rate.

Well done for getting started again! I'm trying to gather up the courage to face the Qi Gong DVD again in the hope that it'll be easier on the knees than skating and boarding. Or walking to lectures. :)
