dianec42Today we made a road trip to Oceanside to pick up the new telescope. It's a Celestron Omni XLT 150R 6-inch refractor and it is very spiffy.
We also walked around Oceanside a bit. It's a pretty beach town in San Diego County, it was a gorgeous day and we'd just driven 80 miles so we thought we'd have a look round. We had lunch and watched the surfers wipe out. Now we're back home waiting for it to get dark.
Stuart has helpfully taken a picture of the telescope with me standing next to it for scale.
... My bad, apparently it's dark enough now. More later.
