Just picked up the February issue of Cross Stitcher a couple of days ago.

I've already re-mapped the colors for the Art Deco Lady (the dress needs to be purple, duh) and am about to scout materials for a test-stitch to see if I can fix the contrast issue with the black vs the charcoal grey.

As if I don't have enough projects already started?

*and* I need a stitchy icon.

(Doing a Google image search for "cross stitch icon" yields a most amusing result of "Hot Nintendo Cross-Stitch Action" on page 2... I'm scared...)

Yah! Go stitching! :)

You're right though - there is a distinct need for a stitching icon here too.

Cross-stitching is fun. You get bonus points for dealing with remapping colors though!

I've picked up my project of The Peacock Tapestry by Teresa Wentzler (?)... it's bloody huge, but I do have the peacock done and it looks pretty good. I'm doing it on black.

Scarily, I took a look at all my cross-stitch supplies and keep wondering when I thought I'd have time to do it all.

I know just what you mean. I still have three (three!) TWs in my stash but it never stops me looking at more. I've started one of them (Lady of Shalot) but the light just isn't right here to do it comfortably, even with a daylight bulb.

But... the dress is PEACH! I mean, come ON. I'm not even going to consider making that kind of effort unless something purple is involved...

I have too many projects under way, too. My New Year's resolution is to get them finished, but new stuff seems to crop up. Must...not...go...to...fabric...store...but I forgot that I need fabric glue...oh, well.

BTW, here's a sewing icon if that helps.
