Yesterday
stuartc somehow managed to convince me that I *reeeaallllly* want an iPhone. So this morning we got up at 4 AM, and made it to Santa Monica by 5 AM to be the first ones in line. (The second ones in line didn't show up until about 6:30, so we might have kind of overdone it, but we didn't want to miss out.) Some time when I'm conscious, I must write up the longer story of the crazy homeless guy who was shouting at the giant iPhone display, but right now I'm too tired to do it justice.
After we successfully scored iPhones, I changed and zoomed off to dragon boat practice, by way of the realtor to drop off some signed paperwork. I was late for practice, but not so late that I missed the boat, and I was not the last one to arrive by a long shot. The practice was a brutal workout, and I drove home absolutely soaked.
Then I came home and ate food and drank caffeine; and we drove off in search of iPhone accessories. This took several tries: one Cingular store wasn't there any more, one didn't have any cases, and finally the Apple store in Manhattan Beach had what we needed. Dinner and iPhone geekage ensued, along with even more coffee. Now we're home and I've had a shower and am trying desperately to stay awake until a reasonable hour. Can't sleep, iPhones will eat me...
