domesticity and (of course) fire

dianec42There has been birthday cake, with candles. (Fewer than 39; we didn't want to test out the smoke alarms...) Stuff has been retrieved from storage; shelves have been built; a fire has been lit in the fireplace. There's beer in the fridge and Bailey's on the counter waiting to be drunk.
