Plumbing issues

I don't have issues with my personal plumbing, for which I am duly grateful; however, other people's poorly planned plumbing projects are really starting to get on my nerves.
Our street is being dug up to replace some 80-year-old water pipes, which is fair enough. I'm not pleased with the amount of notice we got (negative), but I accept that the work needs to be done... and I even sort of appreciate that they're leaving us a few places to park. On the other hand, it took me 10 minutes to get out this morning, and I will bet any amount of money that our recycling won't get picked up this week, AGAIN, because of this.
I made it to work, not actually late, to discover that the upstairs ladies' room is closed for some sort of repair or possibly another dubious "improvement"[1]. Again. With no notice. Again.
[1] Yes, I'm still mad about the auto-flushing toilets. It ain't natural, I tell ya.
(Also, we had a really good weekend. I will post happy things after lunch.)

Yeah, I'll take C.
