Which reminds me of some BBC news feedback comments (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/4350777.stm) dating from the launch of the book.

6th from the top is a deliberately double-edged comment from yours truly:

"I'm pretty sure "The Da Vinci Code" is in the fiction section of our local bookstore. Why are people blindly accepting the written word as the truth without using their analytical judgment?"

Well, you know how it is. People get very upset when one piece of fiction isn't consistent with another piece of fiction but covers the same ground, especially when the newer work isn't fully authorized.

I can understand their concern - will newly published works now have to be marked as being in the older, Classic Biblical Universe, or the newer Expanded Biblical Universe?
