Dead plant envy...

Just spent a couple of minutes joining an impromptu flower-arranging frenzy in the kitchen... a cow orker got random flowers from his wife and was putting them in a vase, so several of us girls felt compelled to try to help. (-:

stuartc isn't the flower-giving type, and honestly neither am I, but I admit I felt a twinge of envy. Maybe it was just because the flowers were purple...

Luckily there were just 2 of us helping, and I kicked myself out in fairly short order after it became obvious that the more he messed with it the worse it was going to get. [Now if we could just see that happening in band practice and learn to let go like that...]

I'm not one for cut flowers either. I LIKE flowers, but it seems such a shame to cut them, then they die (and make a mess. And/or the cat gets into them and knockes them over or eats them :/).

The rational part of my brain knows that. And of course the flower industry is probably evil. But... but... they were so PRETTY! (Did I mention they were purple?)
