On the bright side, everyone else keeps turning up even later to meetings than I do. And bits of the band got together and made sounds that sort of resembled music at times. Which was nice.

We did a new song today and no one fled screaming. And I am not the only one whose voice is out of whack. And I can remember basic motor skills like 12-bar blues in A.

And none of the work crises are actually my fault. All are currently in good hands as far as I know. Things are going to start getting better at some point, they just suck a bit right now.

(I did, however, make a valiant effort to play kazoo today, and nearly passed out from the exertion. I am not entirely better yet.)

So... if he's NOT working late, and I DID work late... how did I get home first?!

I think this is one of those usages of "not working late" with which I was previously unacquainted.

Important safety tip

If you have a cold and are not capable of producing a humming noise, do NOT attempt to play the kazoo. You will just hyperventilate and fall over.
