Closure

Google Maps is now working just fine for me at the office. (I did upset the careful order of my desktop cosmos with a much-needed restart.) Just one of those things, I guess the world will never know.

edit: There is of course the MINOR ISSUE that when I print out directions, the ROUTE is not actually shown. But this is what God and OfficeMax gave us pretty coloured highlighter pens for.

Still can't believe I volunteered for this insane road trip. Oh well, in the worst case it will make a good story.

On a completely random note, have defended the use of high heeled boots as "You know I only wear these in order to be taller than my arch-nemesis in Application Group." I've decided it's fun having an arch-nemesis.

It's a Feliz Navidad miracle!

Made it to Los Feliz and back in an hour and a half. Counting loading, unloading, an unintended excursion through the Wal-Mart parking lot on the way to lunch, and having to park in the next zip code once I got back to the office, the whole thing took less than 2 hours. Yay me.

Boy does Jim owe me for this. (Dammit, Jim, I'm a bass player, not a delivery driver!)

This is interesting. When I use Google Local to look up the "Acapulco" Mexican restaurant in Torrance, it gives me a location and an address. When I look it up by just using the address, it gives me a slightly DIFFERENT location.

For some reason this does not fill me with confidence for tomorrow's adventure.

is anyone else finding that tags aren't working right?

Just curious. If I try to look at old tagged entries, such as http://www.livejournal.com/users/dianec42/tag/band, I only see the last 20. Not the last 100 the way you're supposed to be able to.

I've put in a help request. Wondering if this is happening for others or if I'm just "special" again.
