Well, that was odd.

For the past several mornings, one of the cats (we suspect Princess) has been waking us up at 6 AM with forlorn and incessant meowing.

This morning, there was no meowing that I can remember, but stuartc and I both woke up at 6 anyway.

Either there's some outside thing going on that provokes the meowing (and also wakes us up), or else she's got us trained...

The day had better start improving now

Everything was fine until I started trying to work... breakfast was acquired, co-workers were teased mercilessly, it was all good...

I looked in on the first work thing, and I had done a stupid thing and had to start a 6-hour job all over. Annoying, but not unprecedented. Then the REALLY bad omen happened.

I went to get a cup of tea... was dunking the tea bag and the string came off. Leaving me with the option of wasting a plastic spoon or burning my fingers to get the tea bag out.

The rest of the morning has been like that too. Absolutely nothing is working right. Things that I don't even notice working are broken.

Band practice is in an hour. I'm scared...

The anti-Murphy day

Anything that CANNOT POSSIBLY go wrong, will.

Have replaced the post-it.

I have removed the post-it from my monitor which said "It's going to be O.K."

It's O.K. -- I have replaced it with a better one.

The new improved version says two things:

"It's going to be O.K.
----------------------
It's O.K. NOW."
