A moment of extreme relief, in several parts

First I sat down with my bass and the set list, and ran through the list of Known Songs. Happily, all but two of them are, in fact, 100% committed to memory. The two in question have a couple of known glitches, and everyone else needs to work on them at least as much as I do. [The solo in "Brown Eyed Girl" also needs some work, but it's only like 4 measures anyway...]

Then I went through the two Not-Yet-Perfect songs. With the sheet music in front of me, I will survive.

Then I went for the big experiment. I put on the Sexy Red Party Dress and modeled it for stuartc, who declared, "Nice dress!" (Moment of relief #3 right there.) And then, in the dress and the shoes, I went and picked up the bass and played.

Woohoo! I can play bass in the dress. Possibly even with some amount of dignity. Yay me.
