"Is that rattling noise coming from *our* car?"
"Yes, that's definitely ours."
"It is? Hell. Best pull off."
"Holy ----, that *is* high!"
"Hi, Mat? Where are you guys right now? ... Great, see you then."
"Morning, officer!"
[[livejournal.com profile] stuartc explains some stuff that I can't hear because of the traffic.]
"Yeah, see, it's dripping from here and here..."
"Which bit is the water pump then?"
[[livejournal.com profile] stuartc repeats the above conversation with two separate tow truck rivers that happen by.]
"Hi guys. Our turn..."
"No, I have no idea what my mobile number is. Mat should have it in his phone..."
"Here, have mine."
"See you there..."

Sigh. I just hope this hasn't set the tone for the whole day. (And it probably isn't *really* the water pump.)

I and mine have survived another one, at least so far. The car has a shiny new radiator (well, I assume it's shiny; I haven't actually seen it yet); all of my bugs are minor weird ones, which I'm having quite a bit of fun investigating (That's impossible! Stop it right now!); and we've all successfully moved to a bigger office. Everything even still seems to work, at least as well as it did in the old office.

I am hungry and tired and a bit chilled from the air conditioning. I want to go home, but only in an abstract and tired sort of way, not the vehement tantrum-esque way that I've wanted to go home the last several times I've been in the office this late. It's not great, but it's not all that bad. I'll take it... [oh, like I have so much choice anyway! (whispers that irritating voice in the back of my head).]

mmmm, that desk is looking comfy...
