This is the first Christmas that we've had cats. Right now the Christmas tree is up, and it has one (unbreakable) ornament hanging on a low branch as an experiment. The most important item on
stuartc's shopping list? Water pistol.
I don't think we're going to be able to put lights on it at all, unless we can somehow make them completely Findo-proof. I'm told cats eventually grow out of the chewing through electrical cords stage, but it hasn't happened for this one yet.
Yesterday I put together version 0.01 of next year's set list for the band. I've been at this job almost an entire year! And I'm planning into the future that far again. I guess that means they're stuck with me. (-:
Next year's gig is going to be weird. I'm pushing to sing on "a couple" of songs, and Paul wants to play bass on "some" songs. We have a bunch of new songs we want to do, which means we're going to have to drop some of the old ones. And I bet at least one person in the band will leave Alpine in the next 12 months. I don't know why I think that, I just do.
2005 has been a very good year. Especially when compared to 2004.
At some point in the next year or two, I will have lived in LA longer than I lived in Scotland. Fortunately, we spent so much of 2004 travelling that it will probably be impossible to determine exactly when this happens, so maybe I won't dwell on it too much.
