Erm... and he's wrong too. If you look at the research carried out by various Departments of Defence and air forces, the female body is actually better at handling G-stress than the male. Of course physical strength is a different matter altogether.

Except that he may be right as far as F1 is concerned, where all of the g-forces you need to worry about are the 3-4g lateral load on your head as you take a tight corner, as opposed to the vertical g-forces astronauts/pilots are subjected to.

The fittest male F1 drivers struggle to keep their head from being thrown to the side by the force applied, and they do special neck exercises to strengthen them. Even they struggle on the few anti-clockwise circuits of the year.

Of course Mansell is right too - Button should shut up. Every time he opens his mouth he proves to be the foiol we always expected him to be... :)
