But they told me summer was OVER....
According to weather.com, it is 99 degrees in Torrance right now. I was out there briefly about an hour and a half ago, and I believe it.
addendum: Last year we were in Scotland for all of September and the first couple of weeks of October. I'm starting to wish we could do that every year. (Except for the Packing and Moving Syndrome part, of course.)

Date: 2005-09-29 08:44 pm (UTC)Yeah, that's just not right. Even Woodland Hills is "only" 99 degrees according to the same site. I've heard this is due to something called a Santa Ana wind, but I freely admit I don't know what that means.
Oh well, at least Torrance is sufficiently deforested that it's not on fire.

Date: 2005-09-29 08:49 pm (UTC)* As you probably don't read my journal (although you might, who knows)... we moved from North Hills (near Lassen and Woodman) to Northridge (near Lassen and Wilbur) in July. Still commute daily to El Segundo, though.

I won't even comment on that commute, other than just "Wow".
