[livejournal.com profile] stuartc and I have been incredibly busy the past few days. We're most of the way through fixing up the bathroom (and by "we" I mean [livejournal.com profile] stuartc, of course!), and we (really we) have packed many boxes of books, to the point where we're running short of boxes. I have been committing random acts of gardening and laundry; the gardening in particular has caused me aches in places where I didn't know I had places.

It is weird being in Dundee, and it is annoying having to use dial-up. I have officially handed in my notice at the office; good news is they have nothing for us to do, and no place for us to sit anyway, so we are set free for the month of September. Free from work, anyway; there is so much to do here it frightens me daily. At least we are finally over the jet lag and getting many things accomplished.

Most annoying bit: can't take a hot bath because that would steam off the fresh tiles. Damn.

There is a thing which I must know!! Leading question: Who saw the men's marathon in the Olympics where a lone nut tackled the front-runner?

Real question: Was that the same lone nut as the one who ran out onto the track in Silverstone during the British Grand Prix? He looks like the same lone nut... okay, at least he was dressed the same, it's a bit hard to look past the green kilt and all.

Anyone know? This is going to haunt me. I must find out!
