It's a Feliz Navidad miracle!

Made it to Los Feliz and back in an hour and a half. Counting loading, unloading, an unintended excursion through the Wal-Mart parking lot on the way to lunch, and having to park in the next zip code once I got back to the office, the whole thing took less than 2 hours. Yay me.

Boy does Jim owe me for this. (Dammit, Jim, I'm a bass player, not a delivery driver!)

It was very good having multiple options, so thank you for that! I checked sigalert.com before leaving the office and the 110 looked pretty well clear, so I just took 190th Street to the 110 to the 5. Getting onto the 5 was the only slightly hairy bit, as there was quite a queue.

Thank you, also, for the radio station help! I ended up not needing live traffic reportage, but it's always best to have options.

There's always a backup there. Attribute it to one single lane, a sharp left exit, and poor signage. That's a very old interchange, dating to the construction of the 5 in that area, so I'd put it as the early 1950s, never modernized. It's showing its age.
