That breaking sound...

If you've just heard the sound of something breaking, loudly and thoroughly, it was [livejournal.com profile] stuartc's and my diets. Mmmmm, haggis and chips! I blame Adam Hart-Davis for this: how dare that man use haggis and neeps to drive his heat engine?

In other news, I now have absolutely no idea where my "last 15 pounds" has come from. I've been unable to lose the last 15 pounds, and I'd always assumed that it was the same 15 pounds that I gained in a single exciting week on Maui in 1993; but I recently found the shorts that were the pair of jeans I almost didn't fit into at the end of that trip, and they were loose! So I have absolutely no idea where these particular 15 pounds came from.

Moving to LA on the 14th of October, don't know if I mentioned. We've packed far too many things into boxes, and the movers are coming to pack the delicate stuff and make it all go away on Friday. Eek! So little to do, so much time... strike that, reverse it. Eek...

So does this mean you are going to be without belongings for 3 weeks?

Well, we're going to have air mattresses and the big TV, so we should be basically okay... we're also going to spend at least a week and a half gallivanting around visiting various folk, so it won't be so bad.
