Crazy new exercise thing, day 2

I like it! You can set up a routine and just go. The trainer is WAY less annoying than the Wii Fit one -- at least so far (and you can turn down the chattiness, I checked).

There are still only so many exercises you can do whilst clutching a Wiimote, but these people are pretty darned creative about some of them.

I don't think the sporty games have a lefty mode, which will be irritating for some people.

Also, I suck at catching baseballs, even virtual ones. I'm not actually surprised. (I do apparently have a mean backhand though! The tennis and boxing are awesome for taking out one's pent-up aggressions.)

Ok. Tonight's goal: Buy a Wii and Wii fit. End of line.

Umm, Wii Fit and the EA Sports Active game are two different things.

Having said that, the Wii Fit is a good start, but you will quickly outgrow it.

(Go buy Boom Blox Bash Party while you're out!)

Right, but don't both of them need the balance board and doesn't the balance board come with Wii Fit?

A few of the exercises in the new one can use the balance board. It's not required.

Hey, if you want to get a Wii Fit too, don't let me stop you. (-: It's fun, but it's more of a toy than a way to get real exercise.

I don't know if you can get the board without the Wii Fit software, but it's worth messing around with some of the games, they're pretty fun!

(penguins skidding for leaping fish FTW!)

Yeah, my parents have one and the balance games are very interesting. I like to walk on railroad rails and the Fit showed me that my resting COB is just a *bit* to the front and left. Which fits in with the fact that I carry a backpack over my right shoulder all the time.

Thing to do tonight. Kids will love it.
