1. Purple. Obviously! Everything purple is mine; everything else can be dyed or painted.
2. Pussycats. We live with the two most adorably spazzy cats on the planet, and I would not trade them for anything.
3. Planets. I am bored with the Earth and have long wished to go explore some other places. Sadly, we'll probably make a hopeless Wal-Mart-covered mess of those too.
4. Piano. I had a couple of years of piano lessons as a kid, which I mostly enjoyed, but I never got to grips with the concept of practicing. It did prepare me for reading, playing, and enjoying other instruments, as well as scoring me a couple of easy credits at university. More recently,stuartc and I acquired a spiffy electronical piano, which has proved useful for banging out melodies from sheet music (as well as scaring the cats).
5. Playing. I love playing music: on my 5-string electric bass, which quite naturally is purple; on the aforementioned piano; and (less skillfully) on any random percussion things that happen to be lying around. I also love playing games. I have not yet found any local Boggle opponents. Also, I play FAR too much World of Warcraft.
6. Perl. It's an eminently useful little programming language, and you can do just about anything with it.
7. Pedantry. I love correcting the tiniest details, which I know can annoy people no end. Sometimes that's a reason to do it even more. Most of the time I just can't help it. I can't NOT be that way.
8. Puzzles! The world is a big puzzle in need of solving. When that gets too much, I can always whip out my trusty 5x5x5 Rubik's cube and assert my mastery over that. I'm also decently good at word and number puzzles.
9. Puns. Love them and hate them. Mostly I hate them when someone else beats me to a real groaner.
10. Pizza! It's really bad for me, and is off the menu entirely at the moment. But I do love it.
