life is definitely weird

The quests continue, unfulfilled. Still no job, still no unsweetened dried coconut. I have acquired a kick-ass iced coffee, however.

Going around in shirt-sleeves in November, on the other hand, is definitely a bonus. Hmm, I wonder what bizarre warm-climate thing I should do to celebrate my birthday...

asian groceries will sell unsweetened dried coconut. i'd also try crunchy-granola type stores.

yeah, [livejournal.com profile] stuartc and I haven't really had a chance to explore the area enough yet... the closest earthy-crunchy market I know is Wild Oats in Santa Monica, which is not exactly walking distance. And I am the world's worst chicken about exploring on my own anyway.

I'm just irritated because Albertson's used to have it, and they seem to have stopped carrying it while we were away. (Maybe I was the only one buying it.)

Must google some more... just found a really great page about Indian grocery stores and stuff in the LA area (http://www.searchindia.com/search/LA.html). There's probably loads of other stuff out there as well...
